• DataCardinal is a professional-level, industry-standard network speed testing tool developed by the Center for Geospatial Information Technology (CGIT) at Virginia Tech. Google Play Store
• I was a lead developer of the mobile apps as well as a desktop and the backend part for the Web version of DataCardinal at CGIT.

Community-Oriented Privacy (CS Department)

Goal : Provide community-oriented privacy features for social networking

Tasks :

• Defined the community-oriented privacy features collaborating with Drs. Kafura, Kavanaugh, Gracanin, and Pérez-Quiñones and Peter Radics (graduate student)
• Implemented the privacy features on an existing social networking website (VTS)

Technical Skills : Ruby on Rails, SQLite, MySQL, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, Facebook API.

Health Attack, iPhone-based educational game development (REU project)

Goal :

Promoting health and wellness among african american youth

Tasks :

• I took the entire implementation part of the iPhone app for this project in support of the multidisciplinary Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program of Virginia Tech (VT) Center for Human-Computer Interaction.
• Advised REU students for the design aspects of ths iPhone application.
• Taught REU students for iPhone programming.

Output : A conference paper

iPhone-based control UI for LumenHaus (VirginiaTech's solar house)

Goal : Development of prototype UI

Tasks :

• Implementation on the client side (i.e., iPhone user): Indicating the home owner’s orientation aligned with the 2D-based house map by using magnetometer of iPhone 3GS, Controlling the house facilities, Getting server notification whenever the house state is changed (Socket communication).
• Implementation on the server side: Develop a bridge application (using VC++) to mediate the communication between iPhone and the main control system of the house.
